Since 2014, ACCIS (Arab Community Center for Integration Services) has empowered immigrant and refugee families across Sacramento through:

  • Children’s art workshops and emotional intelligence programs

  • Women’s entrepreneurship and home-based business development

  • Home-based childcare business support for working families

  • Cultural engagement that builds bridges across our diverse community 
     

As ACCIS enters its next phase of strategic growth, we are strengthening our leadership structure to expand impact, modernize operations, and build long-term sustainability.

We are recruiting two key volunteer leaders to guide this next chapter.

Lead the Next Era of ACCIS

The President serves as the organization’s lead executive, responsible for driving strategic growth, strengthening operations, expanding partnerships, and increasing regional visibility. This is a transformational leadership opportunity for an experienced executive or nonprofit leader ready to build institutional scale and long-term community impact. Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic planning and organizational growth Build and oversee a strong Executive Team Expand partnerships, fundraising, and community influence Modernize systems, operations, and program structure Serve as a public-facing leader and ambassador The President works in close partnership with the Board Chair to ensure accountability, transparency, and sustainable expansion. Who We Are Seeking: Senior executive, nonprofit leader, entrepreneur, or civic leader Experience in strategy, growth, governance, fundraising, or organizational development Strong credibility and community presence A builder mindset — someone who strengthens institutions for the long term Time Commitment: Approximately 10–15 hours per month Long-Term Vision: As ACCIS continues to expand its programs, partnerships, and funding base, this role is designed with the potential to evolve into a compensated executive leadership position in the future, aligned with organizational growth and sustainability milestones. Governance & Institutional Stewardship The Board Chair provides governance leadership and ensures strong oversight, financial stewardship, and board development. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Board of Directors Ensure compliance and financial accountability Strengthen board recruitment and engagement Partner strategically with the President Ideal Candidate: A seasoned executive, board leader, retired professional, or respected community figure with governance experience and a commitment to institutional integrity. Time Commitment: Approximately 8–12 hours per month Leadership Partnership The President leads strategy and growth. The Board Chair ensures governance and stability.
