Social Media Marketer

Duties:

  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns

  • Create weekly and monthly calendars to promote ACCIS on various social media websites

  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics and videos on social media and traditional news outlets 

  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

  • Help us develop creative ideas for new content to promote ACCIS through social media to increase community engagement

  • Work with ACCIS team to create a plan for social media strategies

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication, both internally, with our communities, and externally as written content

  • Skilled writer, including the ability to compose compelling marketing messages

  • Experience using graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe Spark, and/or Photoshop

  • Background in social media, online marketing, or communications helpful

 

 

 

 

Community Outreach & Resources Coordinator

Duties: 

  • Provide education and awareness through outreach to the community about ACCIS programs and services with particular focus on reaching Arabic speaking people

  • Analyze community needs to determine program opportunities, scope and goals

  • Maintain relationships with community resources, referral sources, agencies, and associations

  • Maintain event calendar

  • Coordinate and train volunteers for outreach and social events

  • Frequent in-person or virtual presentations to community and civic groups, organizations, businesses, neighborhood associations, and other opportunities 

  • Attend resource fairs and other events to increase awareness

 

 

 

Volunteer Coordinator

Duties:

  • Oversees volunteer activities

  • Interviews and hires volunteers

  • Screens volunteers and matches them to organizational tasks

  • Provides orientation to newly recruited volunteers

  • Provides training for specific volunteer roles

  • Keeps detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments  

  • Communicates frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed

  • Maintains and manages the volunteer database

  • Supports volunteers and ensures they feel welcome

  • Manages and develops procedures for volunteers

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of databases and MS Office (especially Excel).

 

 

 

Family Support

Duties: 

Provide support to families starting new lives in Sacramento in one or more of the following:

  • Translate materials or provide interpretation services

  • Teach English or tutor in conversational English

  • Provide guidance to families regarding the local community, culture, and customs

  • Provide transportation to medical appointments or to job interviews

  • Help children enroll in school and with homework​


 

 

Grant Writer

Duties:

  • Research, identify and write grant proposals

  • Manage a grants calendar and keep track of various deadlines

  • Study and understand the history, structure, objectives, programs and financial needs of the organization

  • Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies

  • Identify and secure grant funders

  • Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization

  • Gather supporting documentation and submit them to granting entity in a timely manner

  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals

  • Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders

  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Excellent research and communication skills

  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

 

 

 

ACCIS Ambassador 

Duties:

  • Provides excellent and enthusiastic customer service

  • Promotes ACCIS and its programs when connecting to people in the community

Qualifications:

  • Passion to help 

  • Positive attitude

 

 

 

Photographer

Duties: 

  • Take clear, dynamic photos at ACCIS events

  • Set up backdrop, lighting and equipment to prepare for photo shoots

  • Edit photos to remove blemishes and correct lighting issues

  • Produce photography in various methods including printed/digital media

  • Deliver final product to various sources including internal and external customers, media, graphic designers, and corporate communications

Qualifications:

  • Loves to work with and around people and has a passion for photography

  • Professional, polished appearance

  • Reliable, honest and possess high integrity

  • Photography experience

  • Reliable transportation 

 

 

 

Events Volunteer

Duties: 

  • Participate at specific events individually as part of a committee

  • Take part in planning, organizing and ensuring the events are successful from idea to clean up

  • Brainstorm budget and fundraising activity for the event

  • Take a responsibility for a task, follow up and follow through

  • Work assigned shift or duty

 

 

 

Transportation Assistant

Duties:

  • Assist in the transportation of items donated by community members

  • Transportation is on an as-needed basis and may be a short 10 minute commute, or a several hour commute for individuals who love to drive!

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Van or a truck owner/driver preferred
